Recommended Use

Organic Lemon Echinacea Throat Coat is an herbal tea that provides temporary relief from minor discomforts of sore irritated throats due to colds, smoking or prolonged speaking.  Adults and children over 12 years:  Drink 3 or more cups daily or as needed. Gargle before swallowing.

Directions

Pour 240 mL freshly boiled water over 1 tea bag and steep, covered, for 10 to 15 minutes. Gently squeeze the tea bag to release the remaining extract. Add honey to enhance benefits, especially in dry climates.

Medicinal Ingredients

Each tea bag (2g) contains: organic purple coneflower root (Echinacea purpurea) 600 mg, organic licorice root (Glycyrrhiza glabra) 550 mg, organic marshmallow leaf (Althaea officinalis) 280 mg, organic marshmallow root (Althaea officinalis) 100  mg, dry aqueous extract (8:1) of organic licorice root (Glycyrrhiza uralensis) 50 mg.

Non-medicinal Ingredients

Organic lemon myrtle leaf (Backhousia citriodora), organic bitter fennel fruit (Foeniculum vulgare), organic sweet orange peel (Citrus sinensis), organic cinnamon bark (Cinnamomum loureirii).

Cautions

Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use if you have hypokalemia, rheumatoid arthritis, an auto-immune disorder or a progressive systemic disease, such as tuberculosis, leukosis, collagenosis, multiple sclerosis, AIDS, HIV infection; if you are taking immunosuppressants, or any kind of hormonal therapies, diuretics, potassium depleting agents, or MAO inhibitors.

Contraindications

Not for use during pregnancy. Do not use if you have an allergy to Asteraceae/Compositae (daisy) family.
