For many years we obtained our evening primrose oil from an aboriginal farming co-op. Unfortunately, they were so good at what they did that they were bought by a big commercial producer.
Evening Primrose oil is a good source of gamma linolenic fatty acids. These are rarer than the more plentiful linoleic fatty acids such as the one's prevalent in olive oil. Linolenic fatty acids are purported to restore elasticity to older skin thereby reducing wrinkles and other signs of aging. Along with evening primrose oil, other natural sources of gamma linolenics are borage oil and hemp seed oil. This soap is excellent for face and body.

None of products or their individual ingredients have been tested on animals.
None of products contains sodium laurel, lauryl or laureth sulphate.
All of soaps are phosphate free.

We make specialty soaps. In 1985, two men named Bob and Mike founded The Soap Works mostly because the colors and scents contained in mass-produced soaps at the time irritated their skin. A partnership was formed to make a glycerine soap that would use old-fashioned methods and natural ingredients in order to solve their problems. It proved successful. Naturally, the two men decided to take the next step on to a path to help people cope with all their particular skin sensitivities.
