Tea tree, also known as Melaleuca alternifolic, grows in Australia and Asia. The part used medicinally is the oil from the leaves. The oil contains constituents called terpenoids, which kill fungus and bacteria. This essential oil is great for treating minor cuts, scrapes, burns and abrasions.
