A traditional herbal treatment for mild depression, Nature's Harmony St. John's Wort is a standardized herbal extract formulated from the herb Hypericum perforatum.
Ingredients
The medicinal use of St. John's Wort dates back more than 2,000 years. Originally it was used to ease pain and promote wound healing. Today it is an accepted treatment for mild depression and seasonal affective disorder (SAD). Each 1,500 mg caplet of Nature's Harmony St. John's Wort is derived from 300 mg of a 1:5 standardized extract containing 0.3% hypericins, a key active ingredient from the above-ground parts of the plant.
Recommended Use
Relief of nervous headaches, nervousness, edginess or jitteriness due to overwork, tiredness or fatigue.
Dosage
Take 3 caplets daily or as recommended by a health care practitioner. For occasional use only.
Side Effects
St. John's wort is generally well tolerated. However, photosensitization may develop if high doses are taken over a long period, especially in people with fair skin (due to the high content of hypericin). It may also cause drowsiness.
