Melatonin is a hormone produced by the pineal gland in the brain. Responsible for regulating our sleep-wake cycles, this hormone is released into the bloodstream to induce sleep. Melatonin promotes sleep, eases shift work transitions, and may relieve jet lag, without the hazards or side effects of prescription sleeping pills.

Dosage
Adults take 1 dropper a day at bedtime or as directed by a health care practitioner. Take 30 to 60 minutes before bedtime.
Side Effects
In rare instances, melatonin supplements may cause headache, transient depression, daytime fatigue, daytime drowsiness, dizziness, reduced alertness, abdominal cramps or irritability. Do not operate a motor vehicle or machinery within five hours of taking this product. Do not use this product if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or have liver disease (as melatonin is metabolized in the liver).
