Ingredients

Nature's Harmony Melatonin is available in an easy-to-swallow capsule in two convenient doses, 1 mg or 3 mg. Melatonin is a hormone produced by the pineal gland in the brain. Once released into the bloodstream, melatonin prepares the body for sleep by decreasing temperature, alertness and performance. When taken 30 to 60 minutes before bedtime, melatonin interacts with melatonin receptors in the brain to activate the body's natural sleep-wake cycle.

In rare instances, melatonin supplements may cause headache, transient depression, daytime fatigue, daytime drowsiness, dizziness, reduced alertness, abdominal cramps or irritability. Do not operate a motor vehicle or machinery within five hours of taking this product. Do not use this product if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or have liver disease (melatonin is metabolized in the liver).
