Sale ends Friday June 1 2012Vitamin D is fundamental for good health. Very few foods naturally contain Vitamin D, while heavy clothing, cloudy weather and sun avoidance can all inhibit the body's natural ability to produce it. Inadequate Vitamin D can result in rickets in children, and osteomalacia or osteoporosis in adults. It is believed that almost two-thirds of Canadians receive insufficient levels of Vitamin D for optimal health.
Research also shows that Vitamin D may prevent major diseases, which is why health organizations recommend that adults take a supplement containing at least 1,000 IU of Vitamin D daily during the fall and winter months. People at higher risk of low Vitamin D levels - older adults, individuals with dark skin, anyone who spends significant time indoors and people who shield their skin from sun or use sun block- are encouraged to take at least 1,000 IU Vitamin D daily year-round.
Everyone in the family can use Vitamin D Droplets, a welcome alternative to pills. Our vertical dropper releases a precise 400 IU drop of premium Vitamin D every time. Apply droplets directly on the tongue or add to food or water. Three 400 IU droplets daily provide adults and children 12 and over with the recommended daily dose for optimal health; a single drop for children under 12 meets the American Pediatric Society's increased daily recommendation. For infants, place a droplet on your finger and rub inside baby's cheek.

Children take 1 to 2 droplets daily; Adults and children 12 years and up take 2 droplets daily.
