Citrus flavour made from citric acid, sucralose, tricalcium phosphate, natural citrus flavour. Pom-berry flavour made from citric acid, sucralose, tri-calcium phosphate, carmine, natural raspberry and pomegranate flavour.

Restrictions

Before taking this product, consult a healthcare practitioner if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have a history of kidney stones, kidney disease, hemochromatosis, renal impairment, cardiac disease or are taking potassium-sparing diuretics. This product may interact with ACE Inhibitors, mixed amphetamines, some antibiotics, anti-microbial or anti-infective agents (erythromycin, neomycin), anti-hypertensives, anti-psychotic drugs (neuroleptics, major tranquilizers), beta-blockers, magnesium-containing antacids, potassium-sparing diuretics, some medicines used to treat cancer (Cisplatin), penacillamine, tetracyclines. Potassium can decrease the effectiveness of the anti-gout drugs. Excess vitamin C can interfere with the absorption of copper and selenium.

Nutrient Depletions

Acetaminophen, ampicillin, aminoglycosides, amphotericin B, alcohol, anti-acne drugs, anti-asthmatic drugs/bronchodilators, anti-tuberculosis drugs, anti-ulcer drugs, aspirin, carbidopa, clozapine, cholestyramine, corticosteroids, cyclophosphamide, cyclosporin, digoxin, foscarnet, histamine (H2) blocking drugs, HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors, HRTs, loop diuretics (i.e. bumetanide, furosemide), nitroglycerin, oral contraceptives, pentamidine, thiazide diuretics.

Supportive Drug Interactions

Loop diuretics (vitamin C amplifies effects of these medications), nitrate medications for heart disease (vitamin C may reduce development of tolerance). Vitamin C works well when taken in conjunction with other antioxidants such as vitamin E, and enhances the absorption of the mineral iron. Vitamin D and calcium enhance magnesium absorption.

Toxicity, Adverse Reactions and Side Effects

Doses greater than recommended are tolerated and are unlikely to cause any adverse reactions. However, regulations governing vitamin C require us to advise that this formula may cause stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, muscle fatigue, loose stools, diarrhea, gas, bloating and irregular heart beat. Decrease dosage if these symptoms occur.
