Ingredient Information
Canadian Ginseng 250 mg (Panax quinquefolium root) standardized to 5% active ginsenosides.
Excipients: Cellulose, Dicalcium Phosphate, Vegetable Magnesium Stearate, Vegetable Stearic Acid, Silica, Modified Cellulose Gum, Water-Soluble Cellulose, Polyethylene Glycol.
Restrictions
Drug Interactions: Avoid caffeine as it can increase the effects of ginseng. Ginseng may react adversely with: MAO Inhibitors; Anti-psychotics; Diuretics; Oral Corticosteroids; Methylphenidate (Ritalin) or other nervous system stimulants; ACE Inhibitors, Angiotensin-II-Receptor Antagonists (may increase blood pressure); Anticoagulant Drugs/Antiplatelet Drugs. It may alter the dosage of anti-diabetes drugs/oral hypoglycemic agents (ginseng may reduce blood glucose levels).
Nutrient Depletions: None known when taken as directed.
Supportive Interactions: Other herbs such as Siberian ginseng also enhance the immune system. These can be used along with this product or rotated during one week periods of rest from ginseng to help maximize its effects. Ginseng may also improve the strength of vaccines.

Toxicity, Adverse Reactions and Side Effects: Do not exceed recommended dosage. Very high doses of ginseng are associated with nervousness, insomnia, headaches and stomach upset. Some women may experience increased menstrual bleeding or breast tenderness when taking ginseng. If this occurs, reduce dosage or stop taking this product.
