Sale ends Friday June 1 2012Vitamin C is an essential nutrient, meaning that our bodies cannot produce it, and therefore, it must be obtained from outside sources. As a precursor to collagen, Vitamin C has an important role to play in the normal development and maintenance of bones, teeth, gums, cartilage and the skin. This nutrient is also a powerful antioxidant that protects all tissues in the body from damage by free radicals and toxins. There is also evidence that vitamin C plays an important role in maintaining the health of the immune system.
Arthur Chewable Vitamin C 150 mg is derived from a combination of vitamin C ascorbate and calcium. Also known as calcium ascorbate, it has a neutral pH and will not harm tooth enamel as most other chewable Vitamin C products do. Calcium ascorbate is also gentle on the stomachs of young children because it provides Vitamin C without lowering the pH of the gastrointestinal tract.
